Around 2pm yesterday, police were called to Rockmans Clothing Store in relation to a report of a person demanding money.
Police have since attended the site as well as spoken to staff at the store that informed police of the incident.
It is alleged the male left the scene before police arrived.
Police have declined to comment if, any items have been robbed or if the male was accompanied and are now making enquiries in to the “suspicious activity”.
Since the alleged incident, police have made patrols of the local area and have spoken to a number of people within the immediate area.
Police are now appealing to the Cootamundra public who may have been in the immediate area of Rockmans Clothing Store between the hours of 2.30pm to 3pm, March 15.
