BREAKING – Hilltops Covid Cases Jump to 12

There were five new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in the Hilltops Local Government Area yesterday, Monday 20 September. These cases will be included in NSW Health’s numbers today.

   Four are household contacts of a previously reported case, and include a woman in her 40s and three children. A young female in her teens has also been confirmed COVID-19 positive.

All five are isolating in their own homes and being supported by the Murrumbidgee Local Health District.

These cases bring the total number of cases in Hilltops LGA to12.

Investigations and contact tracing are ongoing to identify all close and casual contacts, and any venues of concern.

  Anyone who visited one of these venues at the times listed below is now a close contact and must get tested and isolate for 14 days regardless of the result.

If your date of exposure at this venue occurred in the last 4 days you must get another test on day 5 from the date of exposure.

Previous locations of concern

One additional location of concern has been advised by Victoria Health. A person who later tested positive to COVID-19 in Victoria visited Cobram-Barooga Sports Club. Anyone who visited this venue at the time listed below is a casual contact and should immediately get tested and isolate until a negative result is received.

There are no new cases in Albury LGA. There remains a total of three cases in Albury residents. There are no new venues of concern to report.

Follow up sewage samples have been collected at Griffith as part of the NSW Sewage Surveillance Program.

We ask communities in the areas of Hilltops LGA, Albury LGA and Griffith LGA to be vigilant with mask wearing, hand hygiene and social distancing, get tested if they have the mildest of symptoms, and if eligible, come forward for vaccination as soon as possible.
