NSW Current COVID-19 Numbers September 6

Today New South Wales recorded 1,281 and 5 deaths, 4 of these people had underlying health conditions.

Western New South Wales saw 44 cases 35 in Dubbo, 6 in Bourke, 2 in Orange and 1 in Narromine.

Cases have also been detected in Southern New South Wales with 2 cases in Goulburn, 3 in Queanbeyan, 1 in Cooma and 1 in Batemans Bay.

It is estimated the peak of the case numbers will hit in the next week or so.

The modelling shows the within the 12 local government areas of concern will continue through until mid-September when sufficient vaccine-acquired immunity is achieved.

Premier Gladys Berejiklian says this means in early-mid October the peak in intensive care beds will likely occur.

There are no active cases of COVID-19 in the Hilltops Council or Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council.
