Ballard to Captain/Coach Bulldogs in 2022

The Cootamundra Bulldogs will have a new first-grade captain and coach for the 2022 season, with Jordyn Ballard being recently announced to step into the role.

Jordyn will takeover the position from veteran and club stalwart Aaron Byrne, after stepping into a coaching role this season and learning his craft from Aaron. Jordyn will lead in the Bulldogs in the club’s second season in the George Tooke Shield next year.

This season Jordyn was recognised as the best player in the competition and was rightly awarded. The new club captain/coach will be looking to continuing that exhilarating form into the new season, aiming to lead his side to deep into a successful campaign with hopes of finals and premiership success.

The Cootamundra Bulldogs finished third on the ladder in the 2021 Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield, amounting eight wins and three losses before the season was cut short due to COVID restrictions. The Times will be in contact with Jordyn in coming weeks surrounding his outlook and plans for the new season. Congratulations Jordyn on the appointment and good luck to the Bulldogs in the 2022 season.
