The Cootamundra Blues shared some exciting news on Monday, announcing that the teams coach from the previous three seasons Joe Scott will be returning for a fourth consecutive season.
Scott’s previous three seasons have shown great progression within the Club, with the team continuing to improve throughout Joe’s tenure at the club.
The Blues have had plenty of excitement over the past month with their AGM generating plenty of buzz around the Club with Phil Bird stepping up into the president role replacing Todd Basham.
Though new people in new roles is exciting, stability remains important and the Blues resigning Joe for the 2023 season will be not only terrific for the fanbase, but for the locker room as well.
The Blues were ecstatic with Joe’s decision to stay on with the Club.
“A hard hitting, contested possession bull, Joe’s commitment to his players and club is never questioned,” the Blues said.
“Signing on for his 4th season in the top job, Joe has done a magnificent job so far in helping build our young side into a cohesive outfit.
“Joe is a gun footballer and an even better person, and we couldn’t be more proud to have him leading our club into the future.”
The commitment between the players and clubs has never been questioned, though the dedication of the players will be solidified in fan’s minds with the news the boys will be returning to training early to ensure they’ll be ready to go for next season.
The Club will be having a training run at Clarke Oval every Tuesday at 6pm up until Christmas where they encourage any current, past or potential players to attend.
The Blues continue to build towards next season creating an understandable excitement around the area for the 2023 season.
