Come join the Cootamundra Lions Club for the 2023 Christmas Carnival and fireworks display on Saturday 9th December at 7:30pm at Fisher Park. It will be a fun filled evening for friends and families celebrating the start of the festive season.
Every year, volunteers come together and put months of planning and organising into the popular community event, and each year the Christmas Carnival each donates the funds raised to local charities over the Christmas period, making it one of Coota’s biggest events of the year. This year you’ll find plenty down the sideshow alley, including food, chocolate wheel, market stalls and let’s not forget, the very popular Dachshund Dash that is taking place again this year. All entries can be registered by calling the CooperStreet Animal Rescue on 6942 4100.
Peter Lott member of the Lions Club said “We’ve got the Kapooka Army band coming along with other local performances finishing with the town’s favourite fireworks display.”
Lions Christmas cakes and puddings are available at Wattle Butchery, Mitre 10, Meals on Wheels and Jules Sub Store for purchase to support the Cootamundra Lions organising the event.
Don’t forget it’s only a gold coin donation to get into the carnival so come down and support the local community for a great evening out with family or friends.
