Motorsport events will continue at the Cootamundra Aerodrome over the next few months, the site will see four motorsport events hosted by four promoters in March, April, May and August of 2025.
A CGRC spokesperson said these events will inject significant benefits to the community and be held in accordance with the current event management guidelines.

“Council will continue to work with motorsport enthusiasts and event promoters who adhere to Event Management Plan/Event Applications and Council will continue to provide assistance to these organisations who are conducting events that focus on the safety of all participants, spectators and Council assets.
These organisations will hold the necessary insurance requirements, have event management plans and risk assessments in place and most of all value and respect our community’s facilities. Council’s focus must be on protecting Council’s position and the interests of rate payers in the legal and safety aspects of any event that is conducted within the LGA.

The economic benefits these events bring to our communities is immeasurable, our accommodation venues, hospitality venues and a number of other businesses profit. They are very welcome, and we look forward to seeing them in town,” the spokesperson said.
