Wild Bird is a plant nursery and coffee shop that offers so much more than you’d expect from your typical plant nursery. Located on 24 Adams Street, Cootamundra, the location is a quirky and lovely shop that complements Cootamundra’s array of shops.
The shop is owned and run by Mackenzie Bird who spoke to the Cootamundra Times about his shop.
“Wild Bird is mostly a plant nursery with giftware; it’s also a coffee shop. I try to have as much variety as I can,” he said.”Coota is a great town, there’s a lot of stuff that happens. I’m off the main street, but they do explore and find shops that they haven’t seen before. “I enjoy Cootamundra. It’s a good town. I try to be a part of a few different groups as well.
“I did a Cert. 3 in horticulture in 2019, and I’ve always come to the nurseries here in Coota. I have always enjoyed plants and wanted to open my nursery. I’ve been doing coffee for the last 10 years or so as well as a barista, so I have both those skills. “I’m pretty new to business, still working my way through it.
“Come out and have a look, I’m happy to get what you need in if there is something they might like if I don’t have it. “There are great gifts and a good variety of plants. People can just come out and enjoy themselves, have a browse through the nursery and enjoy a coffee.” Why not take a look at Wild Bird and see what they can offer you.
