The Cootamundra Show never fails to give Cootamundra well beyond their money’s worth, no matter what age you are. This year’s Show in October at the Cootamundra Showgrounds is set to be another spectacle.
The Cootamundra Show provides a community event with many elements: pavilion classes, livestock competitions, the Showmen’s Guild (sideshow alley), trade stalls and family entertainment.
The Cootamundra Show Society are a group of dedicated and hard-working individuals who work year-round to deliver the annual Cootamundra Show for the community. Within the committee, there are many working groups that work tirelessly on delivering a range of competitions and displays at the annual Cootamundra Show.

If you are interested in becoming involved in the Cootamundra Show, Jack Bush of the Show encourages you to make contact, as they love to welcome new members. Bush said, “Things are going well for the Cootamundra Show. We are getting organised, and it’s starting to shape up pretty well. It looks like it’s going to be a really good show.
“Lawnmower racing is a new event that we haven’t had for a little while, which will be good.
“There will be lots of entertainment for the little kids as well as the adults.
“There are lawnmower races, insect displays for the kids, and there’s woodchopping.
“There will also be the fireworks, which are always a big thing that people like to come to the shows for.

“The committee has been really good this year. We’re pretty fortunate that we have a really good show committee, and everyone gets all their jobs done, which is really good, and they’re really helpful. I really don’t have to do too much, which is good.
“I just wanted to thank all of the committee and all of the new committee members this year and all of the previous ones as well, for their continued support and hard work towards the show.
“The show is going to be a really good day. There’s going to be a fair bit of entertainment that we haven’t had before, including the mowers, and it’s always good to come and check out the cows and the sheep and the dogs as well.”
It wouldn’t be wise to miss out on the Cootamunda Show with a schedule like this year.
