The fun kicks off at 4:00 PM this Saturday, September 6, on Parker Street. Get ready to step into a night of wonder as Cootamundra’s main street is draped in a beautiful tapestry of lights. This isn’t just a festival; it’s a living symbol of renewal and connection, celebrating the magnificent golden wattles and canola fields that define the local landscape during this special time of year.
The main stage, fittingly named the Acacia Shine Stage, will be the beating heart of the evening. From 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, the popular band Stripped Back will get the crowd moving with their live music.
As the sun dips below the horizon, the stage will belong to Second Verse, who will keep the good vibes flowing until 9:00 PM. The music will be complemented by the breathtaking Wattle Glow Show, a series of stunning lighting projections and installations that will bring the street to life from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It’s a visual feast that promises to mesmerise all who attend.
As you stroll down Parker Street, you’ll be drawn into the Golden Market and Feast Zone, a bustling hub of local talent and delicious flavours. Just like last year, when 55 market stalls were registered, you can expect a wide variety of goods, with something for everyone.
From handcrafted leather goods and unique jewellery to local produce like olives and chilli sauces, it’s a perfect opportunity to support the community and find a one-of-a-kind treasure.
The fun isn’t just for the adults! The Yellow Fun Zone is where the kids’ imaginations can run wild. From 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, there will be no shortage of entertainment. The little ones will love the exciting attractions from Tony Joes Amusements, and last year’s popular activities, like the mega slide and inflatable games, will be back to guarantee a good time.
Kids can get creative with DIY crafts, visit Finding Fred for amazing face painting, and be entertained by the lively crew from CADAS Kids Entertainment. It’s a guaranteed great night out for parents and kids, whether you’re a local or visiting from afar.
