A Star-Studded Sportsman’s Luncheon To Kick Off Season
Legends, sports, food, drinks, what could make for a better Saturday lunch?
According to Cootamundra Bulldogs President, Stephen Howse, not much!
On March 28, Cootamundra will play host to their annual Sportsman’s Luncheon from 12.30pm at the Cootamundra Golf Club.
Priced at $130 per person, event goers will see guest talks from former Australian Cricket Captain, Steve Waugh and former NSW Blues player, Robbie Farah.
The event will raise funds to support the club’s operations, including funding for their junior development programs, facility upgrades and community initiatives.
Outside of a fantastic lunch, refreshments and guest speakers, Stephen says they will also be hosting an auction.

“We’ve got a trip to Sydney with accommodation, and tickets to the semi-final rugby league world cup at the end of the year,” he says.
“We’ve also got a signed test shirt that Josh Hazlewood wore, along with his hat.”
Stephen says they will also have a South Sydney Rabbitohs jumper, with more amazing auction items to come.
“We’ve also got a lucky door prize,” he says.
A courtesy bus will run late from Saturday morning and well into the evening after the function, catering to a full day of fun, allowing for an early drop off and a late pick up.

Emcee for the event, Tim Robinson (most known for his media work in reporting rugby league, basketball and cricket) rounds out the star-studded lineup.
Tables can reach a total of 10 people per table, and Stephen says it is the perfect opportunity for you to bring your mates for a great day out. Individual tickets are also available and could be the perfect opportunity to form new sports-related friendships over a great meal and stellar conversation.
“We have plenty of tickets available, but we need answers by Wednesday, 25 March at the latest to allow for catering plans,” he says.
The meal itself will feature two courses with drink vouchers.

“Robbie has played close to 300 NRL games, so there will be lots of great stories to hear,” says Stephen.
This event is open to all ages, and Stephen says it will make for a perfect day out at the club, all to support a great cause.
“With the calibre of the guests, it is very hard to beat,” he says.
