Josh Harris scores a try in under 10 seconds as the Coota Bulldogs go down in a close one against The Albury Thunder.
The Coota Times were on site to watch the Thunder from down under, Albury, take on the mighty Coota Bulldogs on Sunday with the locals in the battle of their life. The Times caught up with veteran and club legend Grant Boyd who was preparing to come off the bench to help his home town, when Centre Josh Harris managed to score a try 10 seconds after a kick-off, to shock the crowd and put on a footballing display.
Boyd said, “The second try that the Bulldogs scored, I was on the bench. Brendan Kelleher kicked off and Josh Harris ended up scoring it.
Despite going down in a close one, reported by Aaron Byrne in the back of the paper, Coota can still make finals if everything goes to plan.
“I’m pretty sure if we get 2 out of the next 3 we can make it.
It would be great for the town after seeing all the young fellas step up this year and a number of veterans like Boyd make a comeback to do the proud footy town proud.
Boyd said, “They’ve worked hard this season the boys, they have done very well under Berks.
“I think next week they should be nearly back to full strength.
“Nico should be back too.
“The fullback is back this week too, Sam Bragg. We need to keep going. The boys have done well and need to keep trying.
