Bookings brisk for Wallendbeen’s Spring Long Lunch

After a three-year hiatus due to Covid, the Wallendbeen Community Association is gearing up for its biennial Spring Long Lunch on Saturday 22 October.

A limit of 150 guests will be seated at tables in Hoskins Street, outside the village’s famous hotel.

The Association has already sold 90 of the 150

tickets are available at $100pp.

Just like the inaugural long lunch in 2019, the event will raise funds for community projects, and will include live music and an auction.

Projects planned include improvements to the main street, bike paths and more signage about local history, and renovating and preserving the 145-year-old Station Master’s Residence to provide a viewing platform for proposed silo art.

A seasonal menu will be prepared by the Wallendbeen Hotel Café and tickets include a drink voucher for either sparkling, red or white wine, beer or soft drink.

Children are welcome at the event and a separate kids table will be provided.

Tickets can be bought online at the Humantix website for non-profit organisations.

Just google Humantix and enter Wallendbeen in the search box. Inquiries to wallendbeencommunityassociation@gmail.com.
