The Cootamundra Bulldogs will be looking to make it two wins on the trot this weekend when they travel to Cranfield Oval to take on the ninth-placed Burrangong Bears on their home turf.
It’s been a season full of inconsistencies for the Dogs; who have only managed to string together back-to-back wins once this season in rounds four and five.
Despite the rocky form, the Bulldogs sit in a finals position (5th) on better for and against than the Boorowa Rovers who are in 4th.
With Boorowa having the bye this week, no better opportunity will be presented to the Bulldogs this year to climb back up the ladder than this weekend.
It’ll be the second meeting between the two sides this season, with their previous bout going the way of Cootamundra 32-12.
Despite last time’s blow-out; Cootamundra are sure to be kept honest by the Bears, who were valiant in defeat and showed plenty more than their poor position reflects.
After the game, the Bulldogs will head back to the Cootamundra Ex-Services Club for their 100 Club draw.
