Business Cootamundra Awards Gala Night

Business Cootamundra are getting ready to host their Awards Gala Night, set to be held this Friday night, 2nd September at the Cootamundra Country Club. Guests are expected to arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start, with the night set to conclude at 10pm.

The awards are to recognise outstanding businesses and individuals in town who have gone above and beyond for Cootamundra.

There are nine categories of awards which Business Cootamundra will be covering including Outstanding Start-Up, Outstanding Employee of the Year, Excellence in Innovation, Excellence in Business, Outstanding Business Leader, Outstanding Community Organisation, Giraffe Award for Customer Service, Individual Dedication to Customer Service, and Outstanding Young Business Leader.

Over 130 nominations were received by Business Cootamundra for the various categories of the awards, with written submissions required to turn the nominations into finalists.

Leah Sutherland, Manager at Business Cootamundra, is looking forward to the gala awards night.

“All the finalists have been notified. The submissions have been fantastic. The awards are independently judged,” Leah said.

“All of the nominees had the opportunity to put in a submission to support that nomination and those ones who did went through as finalists.

There was an unlimited number of finalists in each category.” Leah and the team at Business Cootamundra have put in considerable effort in organising this event and in supporting the growth and success of local businesses in Cootamundra.

Tickets for the Cootamundra Business Awards Gala night are $55 for Business Cootamundra members and $60 for non-members, however has already been sold out, with over 17 people on the waitlist.

The ticket cost includes a two-course meal as well as canapes throughout the evening. The event is set to be a wonderful evening of festivities, celebrating the wonderful businesses in the community.
