On Sunday 23rd September, the Cootamundra Country Club hosted the Central West Jack Newton Juniors on the Move event. This saw 13 children tee off in the glorious sunshine from as far away as Cowra, Young, Temora, and Howlong.
Also playing were Coota’s own Harry Schofield and brothers Xander and Benny Moon, who are no strangers to the Cootamundra Course. But for two other Cootamundra children (Tyler Bliss and Lachlan Campbell) it was their first time ever playing in a tournament.
By all accounts they had a great time, with both of them even winning a prize! After playing 9 holes and enjoying a lovely barbeque cooked by Bob Beath, there was a presentation ceremony presented by Matt
Moon. All children had a lovely time and the club hope to now make this an annual event.
Prize winners from left to right: Jack Cranny (Young) Gross winner, Tyler Bliss (Cootamundra) Gross Runner-up and Longest Drive), Lachlan Campbell (Cootamundra) Nearest the pin, Xander Moon (Cootamundra) Nett winner and Jobe Block (Temora), Nett runner-up.
