Cootamundra Hospital Auxiliary Makes Contribution

The Cootamundra Hospital Auxiliary has been busy making the Cootamundra Hospital a better place for staff and patients, by making generous financial donations to help improve the hospital.

The Hospital Auxiliary’s fundraising efforts has helped the hospital acquire new and modern equipment, which entices nurses and staff to stay in their place of employment.

The Cootamundra Hospital Auxiliary is made up of Lila Collingridge, Joan Jenkins, Lilian Dowell, Ellenor Armstrong, Chris Kirkland, Carolyn Salmon, Jenny McClintock and Nancy Sims.

Jocelyn Piper, Facility Manager at the Murrumbidgee Local Health District, said the Cootamundra Hospital Auxiliary has put the hospital in a strong position.

“Thanks to the Cootamundra Hospital Auxiliary’s kind contribution we have been able to update some rooms in the staff accommodation to ensure more comfortable accommodation is available.

This has led to more staff applying for jobs here at Cootamundra, as well as some of the agency staff choosing to return and provide more than one contract,” Jocelyn said.

“The Hospital Auxiliary with it’s amazing fundraising efforts have contributed to upgrading some rooms with new blinds, beds, bed side tables and TVs.

Murrumbidgee Local Health District have contributed to ensure comfort all year round with split system air conditioners.

All the updated rooms have had new paint work completed.

“The Cootamundra Hospital staff would like to take this opportunity to thank not only the Hospital Auxiliary for their contribution but also everyone in our community who donated to the Hospital Auxiliary to make this happen.”

Well done to the fantastic efforts of the Cootamundra Hospital Auxiliary team.
