The Country Med Group Medical Centre on 42 Cooper Street is continuing to provide people of Cootamundra with excellent medical care over several generations.
Country Med Group likes to provide medical services that are personalised professionally and delivered in a friendly and courteous manner. They have a focus on maintaining good relationships with their patients over the long term and staying on top of all their needs.
Currently, the team working there includes Dr Munazaah Ebad, Dr Mariam Danyal, Dr Saleh Kashba, Nurse – Karen Martin (RN – Nurse Immuniser), Alice Mote Receptionist, Practice Manager Syed.
The Practice Manager said that he is looking to provide even more doctors and services to the town.
“We are trying to get more services into Cootamundra like a podiatrist and dietician. In order to cut the waiting times, we are trying our best to possibly secure another doctor in the near future,” he said.
“We would like to do this so patients don’t have to travel to neighbouring towns or wait longer.
“Dr Ebad is the GP. She is a highly experienced GP and has been practising in the neighbouring town of Young NSW for some time. She is experienced in women’s health and children’s health.
“We focus on providing general practice services for common ailments and chronic disease management and chronic pain management, skin cancer and melanoma management.”
The services the Medical Centre currently provides is extensive and include both child and adult immunisations, wound care, psychology services and many vaccinations. A full list of their services can be found on their website.
“This medical centre has been long-established service and we are continuing the service for the
community. We will continue to bulk bill all pensioners, concession card holders, childrens and seniors. We have two psychologists male and female and an Audiologist (All Bulk Billed).
“The group is looking to the future and is hoping to provide many other facilities and provide some new specialist services.”
Just some of the extensive services the centre is providing include skin cancer checks and minor surgery operations, including, circumcision by a specialised doctor and a dedicated operation theatre. Cosmetic and aesthetic service by a lady doctor including Thread lifting, HIFU for skin tightening and Body Contouring.
Currently, they offer home visits for seriously ill patients which do need to be booked in advance and previously discussed with your GP. They also accommodate your choice of doctor if you have a preferred one.
