On Wednesday 25th October at 7:30 pm, the acclaimed Riverina Comedy Club is coming to Cootamundra to unleash a storm of laughter upon the community at The Arts Centre Cootamundra. Tickets are $27.50pp which is a steal considering the quality of the performance showcased on the night.
The group are doing a limited tour after their run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, featuring a very special headliner to be announced soon and special guests from Wagga Wagga and surrounds, MC’d by international comic and Riverina comedy legend Dane Simpson, (pictured). Dane has been described as descending from a family of a wisecracking Dad, a cleverly cutting Mum, hilarious grandparents, and generations of jokers, pranksters and yarn spinners.
Dane says he is here putting the ‘rad’ into ‘traditional’. He is a star who originated from Wagga who you may have spotted on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala, Have You Been Paying Attention? Wil Anderson’s Question Everything, The Hundred with Andy Lee, The Project, Channel 10’s The Cheap Seats, ABC’s Gourmet Lazy, SBS’s Celebrity Letters and Numbers, or in rom-com feature film The Merger.
They will also be playing Junee’s Athenium Theatre and Ganmain Hall as a part of their tour around the bush. Their shows have received rave reviews with Sunday Mail giving them four and a half stars and Glam Adelaide handing out a whopping five stars for the performance, cementing this as a must-see for any comedy connoisseur.
