Around 130 people attended the Cootamundra Rugby League Club’s Sportsperson’s Dinner on March 26.
In attendance were a number of past and present players as well as sponsors and new people involved in the club.
The dinner was seen as a culmination year of change for the Bulldogs club with the function bringing a number of different groups together.
Proceedings kicked off around 7pm with the band, The Redneck Gentlemen, following.
Guest Speakers on the night were Manly Sea Eagles legend Steve Menzies and local junior and NRL Premiership winner Mark Bryant were well received by the crowd.
They told some great stories about their playing days, coming through the ranks, junior league, the best people they played with and against but also their life after footy.
The Bulldogs will be looking to get some footy in this year after the majority of the team sitting out for 2020.
Working on match fitness, timing in defence and combinations in attack are things that the team are working on.
The team is looking forward to having a good hit out and bringing a great start to the season for the footy starved locals.
